Mazda 929 1990
The first Mazda 929 was introduced in 1973 to replace the piston-powered Mazda Luce, which had become the rotary RX-4. It was a large (for Japan) coupe, sedan, and station wagon powered by a 1.8 L (1769 cc) inline-4 Mazda VB engine. Output was 94 hp (69 kW) and 101 N·m (137 N·m).

The Luce was updated in 1975 with an optional 2.0 L (1970 cc) engine which produced 103 hp (76 kW) and 123 N·m (167 N·m) from a 2 barrel carburetor. Another option was the 13B rotary engine, producing 127 hp (93 kW) and 138 N·m (188 N·m). A more efficient 2.0 L I4, producing 90 hp (66 kW) with a single-barrel carb, was added in 1977. The final addition was a 2.2 L Diesel engine for 1980. Its output was 66 hp (49 kW) and 104 N·m (142 N·m). The 929 was replaced after 1979 by the next generation Luce/929.

Mazda for their small family cars or compact cars manufactured between 1964 and 2003, with 10,589,052 sold worldwide. The Familia was marketed under various names, including 1000, 1200, and 1300, 800, 808, and 818. In many markets, however, the more recent Familias were known as Mazda 323. In North America, the names Mazda GLC and then Mazda Protégé were used. In South Africa, it was known as the Étude. The Familia formed the basis of the Ford Laser and Meteor in Asia, Australasia and from 1991, the Ford Escort and Mercury Tracer in North America. Familias were built in Hiroshima, Japan, although they were also assembled in Taiwan, Malaysia, South Africa, Colombia and New Zealand. The Familia line was replaced by the Mazda Axela in 2004."

Mazda announced the European version of the facelifted Mazda RX-8. The 2010 model year Mazda RX-8 include a new front bumper, new headlights, and LEDs incorporated into the rear lights. The front now brings the car more in line with the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6. Mazda is also using new side skirts, as well as new 19-inch alloy wheels.

Mazda will use the 1.3-liter rotary engine that provides 231 hp and 211 Nm for the new Mazda RX-8. The engine now has a second knock sensor, for increased efficiency. Using the six-speed manual, the new Mazda RX-8 car can reach 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The car top speed out at 234 km/h (145 mph).
2010 Mazda RX-8 Facelift interior comes with Recaro sport seats that combine black cloth and leather. A new instrument cluster, steering wheel, and sound system are included, as well as Bluetooth functionality.
